Ravenna continues to dive into the depths of the Knowledge Spark, this time focusing on Mordant Grimsby to see if he’s alive or where his remains might be found. She is seeking closure for Gredi. All she learns is that the razzik were stacking bodies the the tunnels to the east of the bone lord cavern underneath Beryl. She learns that the winter elves are growing greater shapeless ones that are more cunning, move faster, and are far stronger.

Deciding to let the events of the Town Speaker of Beryl play out how they will, the troupe teleports back to Opal as the first wagons for the new trade season should be arriving any day. In the meantime Ravenna continues to meditate on Rowan McNabb’s history:

1. On an extended tour of North Brilend and travelling incognito for several months, Rowan introduces Diocni to the cities and settlements of North Brilend
2. Rowan McNabb and Diocni swear blood pact to raise army to slaughter all Chakagari. Rowan wants to set out at once, but Diocni wants to visit each of the northern tribes first.
3. Once again setting out from Tothkubad to North Brilend, Diocni and Rowan sail across the Kehah Ria to the beach just north of the Uedama River. Once on the beach, Diocni strikes Rowan on the back of the head and knocks him out. The tale of Rowan McNabb ends here.

The troupe are invited to House Indi for breakfast during which she gives Mar’Khabazza 5400 silver for the Salt House in the first of what she presumes will be many more payments – proceeds from the sale of the iron and steel.

Second wave of trading, with a fresh load of iron and steel sent out. From incoming caravans from the south, Mar’Khabazza learns about civil war casualties and that battles being fought have become far more bloody due to the invention of gunpowder and cannons- this is a result of Ravenna as the Thing-Haver for the Knowledge Spark, cast out into the world her desire for the concept of the cannon to be invented. Though this was supposed to be for the protection of Opal against the winter elves, the unintended consequence is that cannon are invented in the Civil War.

Mar’Khabazza pays 2000 to Masha to stock the house for the next year.

Mar’Khabazza puts urchins to use investigating House Rinji’s debt to merchant’s guilds.

Ravenna focuses on the Slenderman but her meditations don’t turn up anything yet.
